Issues adding custom device

That is a known issue. Fortunately, it has a trivial workaround. Basically there must be a RoomieCodes.plist file already in place. We have attached an empty one to this message. Backup to Dropbox, insert this file into the resulting Roomie directory named RoomieCodes.plist, Restore from Dropbox, and then you will no longer see that issue.
