I noticed that Simple Control can detect whether the Apple TV 4 is playing content or if it is paused. What I can’t figure out is how to tie commands to these different states. Here’s what I mean: I have an Apple TV activity that turns all of the A/V equipment on and dims the room lights. I then select and play content. I want to be able to hit pause on the remote and have the lights come back up. The way Simple Control works (and the Siri and old Apple TV remotes work, for that matter), it’s just a toggle, so I can’t see any way to customize the play / pause actions on that button.
Is it possible to do what I’m trying? Any tips on how to do it would be appreciated.
