The simplest way these days to get a single app name if it’s not simply listed in my post at the top of this thread is to launch that app from the new Media Guide. Then, go search for “GuideViewController:selectedPlaylist” in the diagnostic log. That will show you the bundle ID of the app you launched.

Feature request following on from this: It would be really convenient if you could provide one or more of the following:
a) a tooltip or global toggle that exposed the bundle_id right in the media guide, or
b) a drop down in activity setup for the input field of the .APPLICATION LAUNCH command with a list of bundle_ids, or
c) an equivalent of the media guide showing a list of bundle_ids from the device setup interface.
