I am new to this and was wondering how I can connect my Cox Cable box to Roomie? The box has the following ports on the back: serial connection, S-viedo, digital audio, HDMI, USB, firewire, and ethernet.

I would like to be able to use the guide and DVR on roomie and was wondering what would be the best way to set this up?

That’s certainly going to be an infrared device. Note when adding it that Cox is a cable provider, not a box manufacturer. The actual manufacturer name is on the box itself.

So will I be able to have the guide pull up on the remote?

Access to the guide is standard functionality, yes.
