When editing Plist’s from the backed up configurations in my Dropbox folder, which is the one to edit? As you know there is roomiecodes.plist, roomiecodes.plist(1), roomiecodes.plist(2), roomiecodes.plist(3). I have xcode as an editor.

Do you have more information on using a VPN into my house?

I am on my 15th Roomie system.

If you see a file named with a (1) or (2) type suffix, it means Dropbox created a “conflict file”. Basically, Dropbox is being extra safe about not overwriting your files, and whenever it is unsure, it creates extra copies of your files with numeric extensions like that. You can delete them all freely.
