I am a newbie to Roomie and think its great and very well designed. Have tried some competitorsand spent hours trying to do what roomie did in minutes.
I am building a new home and want to do some of the media rooms and lighting stuff on my own. I have some experience in prior homes, but far from an expert. Have seen some chatter on openremote…are it and roomie mutually exclusive or is there some combo that makes sense?
On lighting, am experienced with Insteon and x-10. Have had marginal experience with Insteon with modules dying for no obvious reason.What is the consensus on lighting?Lutron, z-wave? Other?
