is there a way to control my ps3 without a Bluetooth adapter? I know my TV and integra receiver can perform some of the functions using RIHD/IP
The PS3 is not a participant in HDMI CEC protocols (RIHD, etc.) so that is not likely to work. The only known ways to power a PS3 are Bluetooth and USB, both of which are used by a myriad of adapters out there such as the one we generally recommend for highest reliability because it takes advantage of both USB and Bluetooth:
