NAD’s documents say it’s a null modem cable.
I tried the null modem cable. It didn’t work. I dug up a document on the NAD web site (“RS-232 Protocol for NAD Products v.2.02 August 1, 2007”). It said to use a “straight throw” cable. I tried a straight through. That worked. Trial and error prevails!
