I have a Sony XBR-46HX929, which is shown as supporting IP control, but it does not support power on via IP. This is connected to a Marantz A/V 7005 pre-amp via HDMI out one using ARC. I know the TV can turn on the Marantz, but I have not seen it happen in reverse. I don’t see a good pre-defined code set via IR for the TV. What’s the best way to reliably control the TV? Thanks!
For pre-2013 Sony models, infrared is definitely the way to go. The Sony TV infrared set in Roomie is quite voluminous with every discrete command imaginable.
