Not sure how difficult it would be to build this into Roomie:
My Pioneer VSX-923 now has ‘Spotify Connect’ (Update just released two days ago). Basically within Spotify I tell it to play the playlist on the receiver, as from that moment the receiver picks up the stream from Spotify directly.
Within the Pioneer iAVcontrol app I can then see what’s playing and stop/pause/skip fwd/skip rev the playlist. it would be great to have that functionality also in Roomie.
